Animal Welfare Society of South Florida is a not-for-profit 501-C-3 full service, low-cost animal facility that provides quality conventional veterinary care for pets. Founded in 1972, its original goal was to provide affordable spaying and neutering for animals, thus minimizing the terrible fate and suffering of the huge numbers of unwanted and neglected pets.
As the medical needs and services necessary to care for the animals continued to grow over the years, Animal Welfare Society of South Fla. became SOUTH FLORIDA'S ONLY LOW COST FULL SERVICE FACILITY. To this day we are proud of our work, being the only 501-C-3 in the area providing quality care for eveything from annual well care check ups to chemotherapy, surgical procedures and geriatric care programs and much more.
The need for support to care for the animals is still a day struggle. Each year thousands of caring people open their hearts and donate generously to keep this facility open, some with as little as a dollar or two. But it is something that needs to be repeated each and every day of the year to keep us going and be able to provide LOW COST services to those pets who truly need us We make the difference for the families who have to decide between the rent money or the medical care for their sick or injured pet, we are their only hope.
Every dollar that is donated is allocated for the medical support and care of the needy animals by keeping our fees as low as possible and maintain the principles established well over 30 years ago.............To speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.
Only through your generosity can our work in the future be secured. Please help with a check, gift annuity, bequest, trust or gift of prperty.
Animal Welfare relies on the Support and love of its friends in the community. We welcome your contribution.
